H.Parsons Wollongong Chapel
The redesign of the H.Parsons Wollongong Chapel shifts funeral tradition into a contemporary era. By bridging heritage with refined aesthetics, the space has been reimagined as a sophisticated environment centered on connection and integrated technology.
Project Scope
The chapel’s capacity was doubled through the installation of custom foldable doors featuring a patterned frosted glass finish. This architectural solution provides the flexibility to create an intimate atmosphere or expand the footprint seamlessly for larger gatherings.
Functional Chapel Space
The bathroom was reimagined with a focus on accessibility compliance, integrating modern amenities that prioritize both functionality and high-end aesthetics. The project was completed with custom-designed signage to ensure a seamless, unified visual language throughout the upgraded space.
Bathroom Renovations
An integrated food service zone was designed to provide a dedicated space for refreshments after services conclude, tailored to the specific flow of the chapel. The layout prioritizes subtle functionality, ensuring the transition from service to social gathering is seamless and hospitality-focused.
Food Service Zone
The display room was transformed into a warm, welcoming environment using intentional floral styling to help clients better visualize products in a tranquil setting. This strategic atmosphere enhances the client experience while providing a dignified backdrop that supports revenue growth.
Coffin Display Room
A bespoke lectern was engineered to integrate seamlessly into the chapel’s architecture, functioning as a piece of high-end furniture rather than just utility. Following this successful debut, additional units were manufactured to ensure a unified, elevated aesthetic across multiple locations.
Lectern Design
The common areas underwent a comprehensive styling overhaul to establish a premium and cohesive brand atmosphere. A professional style guide was implemented to provide staff with the clear standards needed to maintain the integrity of the design long-term.
