Wandandian Function Space
The transformation of the Wandandian function space converts a former Greek restaurant into a versatile, high-end venue for intimate gatherings of up to 300 guests. This full-scale renovation reimagines the footprint as a sophisticated setting, seamlessly catering to weddings, funerals, and private celebrations through refined aesthetics and flexible design.
Project Scope
The exterior underwent a complete revitalization, including a reconfiguration of the parking area, comprehensive timber restoration, and the installation of new windows. The facade was finished with a curated paint palette to modernize the building’s presence while preserving its structural integrity.
Exterior Restoration
The bar was developed as a minimal and subtle service zone designed to disappear into the architecture when not in use. The focus remained on clean lines and hidden functionality, ensuring the space remains sophisticated and uncluttered during high-end events.
Bespoke Bar and Service Area
The floor plan was engineered for maximum versatility, creating a multi-use space that transitions effortlessly between different event formats. Every element was designed to support a wide range of functions without compromising the venue's refined, cohesive atmosphere.
Multi-Use Spacial Design
A comprehensive internal signage suite was developed to ensure intuitive navigation while maintaining the venue's sophisticated aesthetic. Every element was custom-designed to align with the brand’s visual language, ensuring that functional wayfinding integrates seamlessly into the high-end interior architecture.
Integrated Wayfinding & Signage
The project involved the strategic acquisition of significant Indigenous artworks, securing a cultural narrative for the interior. To balance this aesthetic with longevity, high-traffic materials were specified throughout, ensuring the premium finish withstands heavy commercial use.
Art Curation
Custom frosted window treatments were designed featuring a delicate grass motif, providing essential privacy for clients while allowing soft, natural light to permeate the space. This graphic element serves as a functional art piece, softening the transition between the exterior and the interior sanctuary.
